Week 10 (7/27 - 8/2)

This Friday we will all be presenting at the Research Experience for Undergraduate Symposium. Genevieve and Reilly are giving more formal talks on what they have done this summer. The rest of us will be showing off our posters that we have made. The poster that I've been working on this past week is seen below.

Designing the poster was an interesting process. Everyone recommended that there be more pictures and content than text. Using that idea, I made a preliminary sketch, which I then talked over  with Kyle. He made some excellent suggestions on how to formalize the poster a little more by having a problem space and a solution space. To contextualize the design process, he suggested ordering the ideas such that someone could see the progression of my thoughts.

Working with Inkscape and paint, I managed to put together a colorful poster that has a variety of screenshots from the Looking Glass website as well as images of future plans for what I'm working on. Hopefully it'll be a good talk tomorrow.
